Redistricting of the county commissioner precincts will be the focus of a special meeting of the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Wednesday.Redistricting – the process of redrawing the count precinct lines to ensure they have relatively equal population – is required after the U.S. Census is conducted every 10 years.The commissioners are scheduled Wednesday to consider taking action on a preliminary redistricting proposal presented by a consultant.The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the county courtroom at the Dawson County courthouse.
