The following were among the many calls received recently by the Lamesa Police Department: Saturday, Jan. 9 7:02 a.m. – An accident involving a truck going into a field was reported at FM 178 and Co. Rd. 24, near the Midway community. The driver did not want medics at the scene but reportedly took himself to the hospital in Big Spring. 12:25 p.m. – Lynn County authorities notified Lamesa of a possible traffic accident involving two people who drove to the Allsup’s store in O’Donnell.
