The following were among the many calls received recently by the Lamesa Police Department: Wednesday, July 29 8:49 a.m. – A female in the 800 block of N. Lynn Ave. reported having a collision with an animal. The collision caused damage to the car but the animal left the scene. Police discovered that the female was wanted on a warrant from Howard County. 12:15 p.m. – Police were called to the 1400 block of S. 13th St. about a child custody issue which allegedly involved threats and an unwanted individual at that location.
