Grocery stores and a few other locations will be open this coming Wednesday, but most other businesses and offices will be closed for the New Year’s holiday. Both Claiborne’s Thriftway and United Supermarkets report they plan to be open regular hours to accommodate customers on New Year’s Day. Unlike most other locations, Lamesa City Hall is scheduled to be closed both New Year’s Day and the following day.
