SNYDER – Ernie B. Armstrong, 132nd district judge, will retire at the end of December.Armstrong, who was appointed to the bench by then Governor George Bush, was sworn in as 132nd district judge on July 1, 1995, is the longest serving district judge in Scurry and Borden counties history.Before his more than 26 years on the bench, Armstrong served as district attorney for Scurry and Borden counties for more than 10 years, as well as serving as Snyder’s city attorney since 1979.– From The Snyder News ...
