When COVID-19 hit last spring, the estimated 40 local youngsters being homeschooled felt few alterations resulting from the invading virus. It did have a major impact on more than 1,000 Lamesa Independent School District students. They were sent home last March to quarantine. They did not return to the classroom until August.
