Local COVID cases waning somewhat

COVID-19 case activity in Dawson County continues to wane somewhat compared to the big surge in cases being reported here a few weeks ago.An update posted Tuesday evening by Zach Holbrooks, executive director of the South Plains Public Health District, shows 11 new COVID-19 cases confirmed among Dawson County residents since last Friday.Although that four-day period includes the weekend, the average number of new cases per day was less than six.
