The Lamesa school board meeting that was suppose to happen Thursday was canceled.There was an illness among the board members.The meeting has been rescheduled for this upcoming Thursday at 6 p.m. in the district’s Central Office at 212 N. Houston Ave.The only items on the agenda are School Superintendent David Ritchey’s job evaluation and contract.The agenda remains the same for next week’s meeting.Each year, school boards across the state conduct evaluations and review their superintendent’s contracts. Those reviews could end with the board extending the superintendent’s contract for another year.
