Lamesa school Superintendent Jim Knight updated board members Thursday about on-going construction projects on the district’s campuses.Voters approved a $30.4 million total bond package in May 2018 to pay for new school buildings, renovations to existing buildings and an upgrade to Tornado Stadium.The district already has spent about $22.6 million on bond projects, said LISD Chief Financial Officer Liz Oaks.Board members agreed Thursday to hire Hellas Construction to work on putting in artificial turf in the outfields of the school’s baseball and softball fields.
