The coronavirus pandemic has curtailed some homecoming traditions, but it has not put a complete halt to the annual event. Lamesa High School plans to play football as usual and crown their new homecoming queen this coming Friday. “It will be a socially distance homecoming,” said Lamesa High School (LHS) Principal Jerry Jerabek. The Lamesa Golden Tornadoes face the River Road Wildcats in a football home game beginning at 7 p.m. This year LHS is doing away with its annual homecoming dance.
