After years of working as a temporary physician for several health care providers, Dr. Kristy Acosta is finally happy to be home. The Lamesa native recently accepted a position at Brownfield Regional Medical Center as an obstetrics physician. “It was just so nice,” Acosta said about making the move. “I was prepared to come back.” A 2003 graduate of Lamesa High School, Dr. Acosta majored in international studies with a focus on economics at the University of Texas A&M, and spent a year studying in Switzerland.
