The Lamesa Community Players have decided to cancel their production of “The 39 Steps” and replace that play with “Ripcord” as the first production of 2019. Auditions for “Ripcord,” a comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire, will be held at 6:30 p.m. next Monday and Tuesday at the theater located at 214 North Austin Avenue in Lamesa. The play chronicles the “one-upmanship” between two tenacious and cantankerous residents of a senior living facility. Everyone is invited to audition.
