Klondike school officials have cancelled plans for a school board election in November, as only four candidates filed for the four positions that are up for election this year. Taking action during their regular meeting Monday evening, the Klondike board cancelled the election and declared the four candidates as elected without opposition. Filing for re-election to the at-large seats they already hold were board members Clay Thixton, Ricky Barkowsky and Mike Barkowsky. Cody King is the only newcomer who filed for election.
