A Lamesa man is heading to the pentitentiary after a jury in 106th District Court found him guilty here Wednesday on a first-degree charge of aggravated assault. That jury assessed 31-year-old Juan Jose Torres with a 15-year prison sentence and a $5,000 fine. Torres will receive credit on that sentence for about 11 months already spent in custody. Judge Reed Filley also ordered Torres to pay $2,000 in restitution to the victim of his crime, along with normal court costs and attorney fees of several hundred dollars.
