Japanese get first-hand look at U.S. cotton system

Ongoing effort to reduce contamination of U.S. cotton by plastic and other items were the main focus of talks here Friday involving representative of several Japanese firms which purchase and use cotton from the U.S. and around the world. The group met for lunch with representatives of the Lamesa Cotton Growers after touring King-Mesa Gin and seeing cotton harvesting activity at one of Kirk Tidwell’s farms here.
