Although they should gain about $166,000 in additional revenue, directors of the Dawson County Hospital District are proposing to lower their actual tax rate this year. Board members on Thursday voted 3-0 to propose a 2019 tax rate of 33.6777 cents per $100 worth of property value. That is down from last year’s rate of 38.3872 cents.
