The Dawson County Sheriff Office plans to use funds from a USDA grant to help purchase two vans for use in the transporting of inmates between the local jail and out-of-county jails where they are housed. County Treasurer Terri Stahl told the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday that a 45-55 grant, totaling $69,400, had been awarded to the county by the USDA.
