ANDREWS – With the crack of the bat this week, the longtime Lakeside Ballpark project was christened. The $2.5-million endeavor, which provided the more fields for Little League Play and improvements to softball fields at the Sports complex in southeast Andrews, was paid for through a five-percent surcharge on Waste Control Specialists’ Compact Landfill operation that goes to the county.
