Lamesa residents will not see any neighborhood trash collection by the city through the remainder of this week.City employees picked up residential trash through Wednesday. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, however, there will be no pick-up Thursday or Friday, said Robert Ramirez, public works director.City staff usually pick up residential trash every day, but the Thanksgiving holiday has changed the schedule for this week.“We’re off Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving holiday,” Ramirez said.City Hall is closed Thursday and Friday.Municipal staff will pick up trash Friday, but only for commercial customers.“Commercial is picked up every day except on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day,”
