Brenda Friesen, a recent graduate of Klondike High School, has been named the first recipient of The Colton Kearney Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was created by friends of Quinton and Pam Kearney after their son, Colton, was killed in an automobile accident while driving to school on Dec. 11, 2019. Colton was a 16-year-old sophomore at Klondike. Quinton and Pam presented the scholarship to Friesen during the Klondike High School graduation ceremony on May 21.
