Four individuals were sentenced in 106th District Court here this past week to spend time in the state prison system but at least two of them already have fulfilled their time behind bars. John Edward Kaufman, age 60, was sentenced to serve 11 years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge alleging possession of more than one gram of a controlled substance. Kaufman was given credit on his sentence for about five months already spent in custody.
