Four students who graduated from Lamesa High this past May are are receiving the J. J. Koehler Memorial Scholarship. Receiving the scholarships, to be used at a college of their choice, are Erica Garcia, Bryan Quinteros Jr., Emily Todd and Lydia Trejo. The J. J. Koehler Memorial Scholarship was set up by family and friends in 2004. J. J. was killed in a car wreck on the way to Ruidoso, N.M, during spring break his senior year in high school.
