Fire destroys vacant house

A blaze which destroyed an abandoned house in the 400 block of S.E. 2nd Street just before dawn Monday is believed to have been ignited intentionally.“We don’t know what started it, but it was definitely set,” Lamesa Fire Chief Larry Duyck said Tuesday.“There were no utilities to the house.
