Although the Dawson County Hospital District recently finished its fiscal year with a financial loss of almost $307,000, it was a tremendous improvement from the previous year. A financial report presented to the district’s board on Thursday by Chief Executive Officer Letha Stokes showed the year-end loss left the district about $461,000 short of the $154,500 gain it had budgeted for the 2018-2019 fiscal year that ended on March 31.
