Lamesa economic development officials on Monday voted to commit $100,000 for city street improvements and up to $36,900 to a possible project to have certain property tax revenue reinvested into community improvement projects. The actions were taken at Monday evening’s regular joint meeting of the directors of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP). The $100,000 in funding assistance for street improvements will come in the form of an infrastructure grant as defined and allowed by state law.
