Although Lamesa Fire  Chief Larry Duyck will be sworn in as Justice of the Peace for Dawson County on Tuesday, Duyck said working as Justice of the Peace “shouldn’t change anything” as far as his position as fire chief is concerned.     Duyck will be sworn in to his office as Justice of the Peace on Jan. 1, at 10 a.m., in the District Courtroom on the third floor of Dawson County Courthouse in Lamesa, alongside other elected officials in the county.       The main change in Duyck’s working life should be longer hours, so he said he will have ...
