The 2020 Census, the oncea-decade count of everyone who lives in the United States, is underway but has gotten off to somewhat of a slow start in Dawson County. As of May 27, the selfresponse rate in Dawson County was 47.4 percent, compared to a statewide average of 54.9 percent.
