Dawson County has had 48 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in a period of just a few days, according to the South Plains Public Health District. The district’s website on Wednesday was showing that, as of Tuesday, Dawson County has had a total of 316 confirmed cases among local residents. That is a sharp jump from the 268 cases which the district’s website was showing just this past Friday.
