Although Dawson County continues to have one of the highest COVID-19 case counts in the immediate area, it still represents only a fraction of a percent of the local population. Mayor Josh Stevens reported at Tuesday’s City Council meeting that Dawson County has now had a total of 39 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus. That number jumped by two over the weekend.
