COVID case tally remaining steady

Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among Dawson County residents during the past week.That’s according to the latest update distributed Friday evening by Zach Holbrooks, executive director of the South Plains Public Health District.With nine new cases reported since Tuesday, 43 Dawson County residents have active cases of the virus, the report shows.That is up from 33 a week earlier.The local death toll from the virus has not changed during the past two weeks, with the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) reporting 76 deaths here due to COVID-19 since the first case was reported in March ...
