Only two beds were available late Friday morning at Medical Arts Hospital (MAH) for COVID-19 patients.Though other hospitals are searching for spaces, MAH medical staff will probably keep the COVID spots available for local patients.“We have a commitment to locals and the county,” said Diane Sherrill, MAH director of nursing. “We just can’t get to a point where we will not be able to take care of those walking into our ER (emergency room) and those that need to be admitted.”As of late Friday morning, MAH had 14 patients hospitalized.
