COVID-19 claims another life

Another death of a Dawson County resident has been attributed to COVID-19, according to information from the South Plains Public Health District. The virus has now been blamed for the deaths of eight Dawson County residents since the first case was reported here in late March. The latest death was reported in the daily update which was posted Monday on the South Plains Public Health District’s website. That report also shows 64 new cases of the virus among Dawson County have been confirmed by health authorities since last Thursday, including 31 new cases over the weekend and 24 on Tuesday.
