County sees drop in COVID activity

The number of both new and active cases of COVID-19 among Dawson County residents has decreased in the latest report issued by the South Plains Public Health District (SP-PHD).Only six new cases had been confirmed here during the past few days, according to the report issued Monday evening by SPPHD Executive Director Zach Holbrooks.A total of 47 cases were reported here last week, and 71 during the previous week.Monday’s report shows 58 Dawson County currently have what are considered active cases of COVID-19.That number is down from 74 as of last Friday.Active cases had topped the 100 mark here in ...
