After dipping into the single digits late last week, the number of active COVID-19 cases has bumped back up early this week. The South Plains Public Health District was reporting 11 Dawson County residents with active COVID cases as of Tuesday. That active case number had dipped to just seven last Friday, the lowest mark since late last June. Only one confirmed new case was reported here on Tuesday.
