Dawson County could be getting about $64,000 from the settlement of a lawsuit against four major manufacturers and distributors of opioids.Members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday approved a resolution to participate in a Texas plan to distribute funds from the settlement to various entities across the state.County Treasurer Terri Stahl said the resolution is required in order for the county to receive any funding from the settlement.Texas was one of numerous states and entities which sued four major pharmaceutical firms they alleged contributed to the opioid crisis that initially hit the nation several years ago.Texas’ combined share ...
