The courthouse and all other Dawson County offices are now closed to regular walk-in traffic by the public. County Judge Foy O’Brien said the action was taken this week as a result of public health concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus. Offices will remain staffed and accessible by phone, however, during shortened hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday. “We’re just handling all essential duties right now,” O’Brien said Friday.
