It appears the Lamesa city limits will soon be expanding at least a short distance to the southeast. Members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court this past Tuesday agreed to a proposal for the city to annex a portion of what is known locally as Radio Road. That road officially is listed as County Road L. The portion to be annexed extends from U.S. Highway 87 on the north to State Highway 349 on the south.
