Lamesa City Council members on Tuesday appointed a new member to one local economic development board but couldn’t reach an agreement on filling two positions on another board.Monica Castro, already a board member of the Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP), was appointed to also serve on the board of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation.The council couldn’t come to an agreement, however, when it came to appointing two new members to fill vacancies on the LEAP board.Council members were scheduled to consider appointing Josh Peterson and Brian Rodriguez to that board, each for a two-year term ending Dec. 31, 2023.When the ...
