Pay increases, incentives and requests for more staff, equipment and vehicles were among the topics discussed by Lamesa City Council members this past Wednesday evening in their third budget workshop session of the week. The wish list presented by city staff for the 2021- 2022 budget, starting at a total of $2.5 million, was notched down to $1.1 million by Wednesday. The council continued cutting into that list in prioritizing necessary expenditures. The original wish list contained over $200,000 to provide five-percent increases for city employees.
