Lamesa city officials called off the city council’s special meeting Monday over six hours before it was scheduled to begin.City Manager Joe Hines said there weren’t enough members available to constitute a quorum.The council needs four members for there to be a quorum.The council was scheduled to consider a resolution designating funds for improvements to the municipal airport.They were also going to discuss and possibly take action on the city’s animal control shelter.“We’ll probably just do it with the regular meeting in December,” Hines said about rescheduling the topics to next month’s meeting.The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for ...
