Cotton harvest starting

The end to an extremely challenging year for farming activity in Dawson County is heading into the final stretch. What could be a short harvest season is getting underway here for both cotton and peanuts. The cotton harvest is limited this year almost entirely to just over 87,650 acres of irrigated cotton scattered across the county.
