U.S. Representative Michael (Mike) Conaway (R-Midland) and his wife, Suzanne, will be riding in the parade during Lamesa’s annual Independence Day Celebration this coming Thursday morning. “This will be an informal visit. The congressman just wishes to celebrate some of the Fourth in Lamesa,” Evan Thomas, district director for Conaway, told the Press-Reporter on Friday. Immediately after the parade, Conaway is scheduled to be at The Plaza from 11:15 until 11:30 a.m. to meet and greet local and area residents.
