The City of Lamesa plans to vacate a dedicated alleyway, which never was developed, to allow construction on the Lamesa High School campus. The first reading of an ordinance to permanently close and abandon the alleyway was approved by the Lamesa City Council this past Tuesday at the request of Lamesa ISD. City Manager Shawna D.
