Work began Friday on a project to seal coat about 130 blocks of city streets in Lamesa during the next few weeks.Friday’s initial efforts focused on streets where no homes are located but the project will begin moving into residential neighborhoods this coming week.“We’ll start work in (city council) District 1 on Monday,” said Robert Ramirez, the city’s public works director.“We’re going to be working in all six districts.”With the entire project expected to take 3-4 weeks, Ramirez said residents will need to remove any vehicles parked on the street and should not water their yards on days when seal-coating ...
