Expecting that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will have ebbed by that time, officials with the City of Lamesa are going ahead and planning to host the annual Chicken Fried Steak Festival in late April. Annually drawing several thousand people from Lamesa and the surrounding area, the festival was cancelled last year due to the then-new COVID-19 regulations on gatherings and other activities.
