Lamesa City Council members opted Tuesday to delay action on a rezoning decision after a council member voiced strong opposition to the proposal. Council member Luciano Reyes said allowing a piece of property at N.E. 3rd Street and Akron to be changed from residential to industrial zoning would create a safety problem in that area.
