Without any comments from the public, a public hearing by the Lamesa City Council on Tuesday evening lasted only a few minutes to wrap up a grant-funded water line improvement project. The hearing was required by law for the project, which was funded mainly by a Texas Community Development Black Grant. City Manager Sean Overeynder told the council the work has been completed.
