Owners of games rooms are going to feel the financial pinch after Lamesa City Council members agreed Tuesday to the first reading of an ordinance setting down heavier license and permit fees to operate such facilities. The council’s move is in response to various illegal activities which reportedly have become common occurrences in and around game rooms, Mayor Josh Stevens said.
