ANDREWS – Andrews Chamber of Commerce representatives said Tuesday the annual banquet staged at the county-owned ACE Arena loses ticket sales annually because alcohol isn’t served.The chamber requested the commissioners court to waive the county’s policy regarding alcohol on premises at the arena for the Feb. 12 banquet.But the court took no action on the agenda item, choosing to get its “ducks in a row” with questions concerning liability, insurance rates and what can be done before proceeding.“We want to make sure that if that was to happen the county is well protected before we move down that avenue,” Andrews ...
