A school board candidate, a city council incumbent and two hospital district contenders filed applications this week to be on the ballot for local elections scheduled for May 1. Candidates seeking office on the boards of any of the three entities have until Feb. 12 to file their applications. Lamesa City Council Bobby Gonzales filed Friday as a candidate for reelection to the District 5 seat he currently holds on the Lamesa City Council.
